Automated Standards

Each automation project team needs write up an automation standards document stating the following:

• The installation configurations of the automation tool.
• How the client machines environment will be set up
• Where the network repositories, and manual test plans documents are located.
• Identify what the drive letter is that all client machines must map to.
• How the automation tool will be configured.
• Identify what Servers and Databases the automation will run against.
• Any naming standards that the test procedures, test cases and test plans will follow.
• Any recording standards and scripting standards that all scripts must follow.
• Describe what components of the product that will be tested.}
